The Masquerade Ball

FP GIML is a way exciting creature. It stands for the Foundation for the Preservation of Geek Ideals and Mild Life. I heart it with a big heart!!! Awhile ago the fine folks at FP GIML organized a party of special magnificence!!! It rocked my socks. It was a masquerade ball and lots of people came and it was wonderful!!!


Megan and I both went. I spent upwards of 30 hours (which I really didn't have to spare, but oh well...) on my costume. Megan spent downwards of 15 minutes. Does anyone care to explain why she looks just as good? I find this highly unfair... It was really fun to go to a party with my big sis! She's wonderfully awesome. She even brought me my CDs cause people wanted me to magically produce celtic music and some weapons for a lovely bit that shall be disclosed later on...



Aaron and I got all dressed up and he gave me a ride over early. All guys should wear short capes more often. Oh yeah, we looked good! ;) The whole night was fun, but the costumes were quite possibly the best part!

p.s. The name tag says HELLO! I'M NOT Johnny Depp. We all had tags of who we weren't. Mine was Elora Hawksworth, but almost no one understood it, and then it fell off... My personal favourite was Ami's "I'M NOT a dancer!" Suuuuure, hon... jus keep telling yourself that...



By the end of the night it was a very scraggly Caiti who returned home. I'd had a really good time, and best of all, Ami and I got to do our fight!!! We'd choreographed the BEST fight in the world (based on Anna's and mine, but improved a LOT cause we'd had so much more time), but due to my scheduling inabilities, we didn't get to use it earlier, sooooooooo... We did it for the Ball! A little bit earlier a band had cancelled fairly last minute cause they were soccer people, so Daniel and Molly asked me to fence and then I dragged Ami into it! That's why she loves me so much!!! We even fought in our dresses! We kicked major booty, namely eachothers'... We both had absolutely gorgeous grandois gowns we'd designed and made ourselves and beautimus masks we'd also done. It was wonderful, and if anyone has more pictures from the ball, they should send them to me really soon!!!

So... in summary, FP GIML, short cloaks, the Masquerade Ball, and people who I like bunches make me REEEEEEEEEEEALLY happy!!!!! I want to hug the world right now!
